Additionally it should be noted that when you are on the mat bowling it is up to you to go and replace the wood barrier in the middle of the rink if you bowl against it so you need to be ready to follow your bowl.

Also the Skip or Three should stop and remove any bowl that does make contact with the wood barrier before it gets anywhere near the head.

Foot faults are not allowed so take care when on the mat bowling.
